Ağırnas New Underground City

Almost everyone has heard of Ağırnas, especially as it's known as the birthplace of Mimar Sinan.

Ağırnas has numerous historical houses and caves, most notably the house where Mimar Sinan was born.

Neslihan Park also contains an underground city.

These days, a serious project is underway in Ağırnas through "individual initiative": "The New Underground City of Ağırnas".

Beneath the house located on the corner right next to the "Han Önü" square in Ağırnas lies a city.

The cave system, which has so far descended three levels below the surface, continues to go even deeper.

This cave system, with its numerous sections including arched and columned rooms, a kitchen, storage areas, and burial chambers, is well worth seeing.

The homeowner, originally from Ağırnas and who had worked in France for many years, returned to Türkiye and decided to revive his vineyard house in Ağırnas.

What started as minor renovations gradually grew into a larger project, reaching its current form.
